MY NAME IS MILLY,
I have always been slightly, well completely, obsessed with trawling markets and fairs. It probably started when I was about 5 and started going to car boot sales with my Granny. I used to come back laden with very questionable 'stuff'. My mother's eyes would roll at the sight of strange clothes, trinkets and cacti I bought back.
Fast forward a few years and I was living in Florence studying jewellery at Le Arti Orafe, and on days off from my course I would scour the local markets and fairs which were always fruitful. I was hooked!
When I returned to the U.K 4 years later, I had my own house to fill, a task that was a very exciting prospect. I soon filled (almost) every room with antique and vintage pieces I had found. Often with my mother, who is my partner in crime when it comes to scouring markets and antiques fairs.
Hence the creation of The Garden Room Atelier., it gives me an excuse to buy amazing or quirky pieces without having to persuade my husband that we need it in our house.
Another really important reason for starting the atelier is that I really hate to see antique and vintage pieces sitting unloved, un used or even thrown out. In this day in age we should all be thinking more about re using and re inventing pieces so they can be enjoyed once again. So through The Garden Room Atelier I will source, restore, and reinvent antique and vintage finds and make sure that they can be prefect for today's interiors.

I really love what I do and I hope you love what I have found so far.....
